Meritt Get started

Your terms

You set the rules once, and the affiliate always knows where they stand

  • Several programs on the same site. 20% of the sale, or €10 a sale. Once, for six months, or for life on every renewal. You accept new affiliates automatically, or one by one.
  • Changing a rate does not change the past. What you owed yesterday stays calculated at the old rate.
  • You can also pay before the sale. A form filled in, a signup, a trial started, a deposit: you set the amount. It adds to the commission, it does not replace it.
  • An affiliate can recruit another. They then earn a share of what their recruit earns. That share comes out of the recruit's commission, not your pocket: your cost per sale does not change.
  • One discount code per affiliate. Meritt creates it in your Stripe account: you choose the discount, it does the rest. A program can create one automatically at every signup.
  • Your terms and your privacy policy are published on the signup page. A full template is provided: you have nothing to write to get started.

What you look at on Monday morning

The figures that tell you whether the program is working

Every figure is compared against the previous period, and you can click it to see the rows behind it. You keep on screen the ones that are useful to you.

10,000 5,000 0 Revenue brought in Profit, once commissions are paid the last twelve months
Profit is what is left once commissions are paid. That is the line that says whether the program is worth it — not the height of the bars.

Profit, not just revenue

What the program brought in, minus what the affiliates earned.

What a visitor is worth

How much a visit from an affiliate earns you, and how much it earns them. Those are the two numbers you compare one affiliate to another with.

Who is actually working

The affiliate leaderboard, the latest sales, and a map of where your buyers come from.

Several currencies, no conversion

You choose the one you are looking at. We convert nothing: we have no exchange rate to invent.

Your team, each with their own rights

Owner, admin, affiliate manager, member, viewer. Or a role you put together yourself, box by box.

Try a role before you hand it over

You see the app exactly as your accountant or your agency will see it.

Everything is recorded

Who did what, and when. Everything that touches funds leaves a trace.

Your data is yours

Affiliates, sales, clicks, payouts: you export everything as CSV whenever you want.

The rest

Everything you will need day to day

An API for your sales

If you take payments through neither Stripe nor PayPal, your server can declare the sales itself. Three calls are enough, and if you send one twice it is only counted once.

Meritt tells your server

Fourteen events: a signup, a click, a sale, a commission, a payout, a question. Every delivery is signed, retried if it fails, and you can read it back with your server's answer.

Writing to your affiliates

To everyone, to a group, or to a few. With a preview before sending and an unsubscribe link. The seventeen automatic emails are editable word by word, in all four languages.

The emails go out from you

Three lines to add to your domain name, and your messages stop leaving from our address and leave from yours. Until that is done nothing breaks: they carry on leaving from ours.

Your affiliates ask you their questions

From their own area. You get an email, and you answer from the dashboard with their record in front of you.

Your brand

Logo, favicon and colours on the signup page and on your affiliates' area. On white label, no mention of Meritt anywhere.

A public roadmap

What is planned, in progress and shipped. You vote for what you need, and that is what decides the order.

Four languages, two themes

English, French, Spanish, Italian: for you, for your affiliates, and in the emails. Light theme or dark, each to their own.

If you wire it up yourself

Three calls, and a signed header on everything Meritt sends back to you.

Coming from elsewhere

Switching platforms without breaking links already published

The risky part is not getting the data across. It is that the links your affiliates put in their videos, their articles and their descriptions stop working overnight. You cannot ask three hundred people to republish everything.

A video published in 2024 acme.com/?via=marie you switch platform The link still credits Marie without her changing a thing
Meritt keeps reading the old link shapes and finds the affiliate by her original code. Nobody has to republish anything.

And then

Everything Meritt does, in detail
