Affiliate program for PayPal sales

Subscription payments arrive through PAYMENT.SALE.COMPLETED , with their refunds and reversals.

Two values from your PayPal dashboard, the client ID and the secret. Meritt then registers the webhook with PayPal: no address to copy.

What Meritt reads

PAYMENT.CAPTURE.COMPLETED and PAYMENT.SALE.COMPLETED: the sale collected.
PAYMENT.CAPTURE.REFUNDED and PAYMENT.SALE.REFUNDED: the refund takes the commission back.
PAYMENT.CAPTURE.REVERSED and PAYMENT.SALE.REVERSED: a reversal by PayPal does too.
The click, carried in custom_id, which PayPal returns as it is.

On developer.paypal.com, in Live mode, open your app (Merchant type) and copy the client ID and the secret.
Paste them under Payment system: Meritt registers the webhook.
Where you create the PayPal order, put the click in custom_id; with no server, set up Auto Return at PayPal.
Your buttons and the connected credentials must come from the same PayPal app, or the sale is collected and the webhook never arrives.

What if PayPal refuses to create the webhook?

The screen then gives you the address to declare yourself in your PayPal app.

Does the buyer have to come back to my site?

With no server, yes: Auto Return brings the buyer back to a page with the tag.

Are PayPal subscriptions read?

Is this the same as PayPal payouts?

No. Here PayPal collects your sales. Paying affiliates from your PayPal account is another integration.
