A FirstPromoter alternative at a flat price
FirstPromoter is a complete platform, and that is also what makes it hard to budget: three independent counters decide your tier, and only one of them has to overflow. Meritt keeps none of them.
What you pay, on each side
FirstPromoter bills the way Rewardful does — in tiers of affiliate revenue — but stacks counters on top. On the entry plan, four numbers decide your bill instead of one.
| Plan | Listed price | What the price follows |
|---|---|---|
| FirstPromoter | ||
| Starter | $49 / month | up to $5,000 in affiliate sales, 1,000 affiliates, 3 campaigns, 2 sites |
| Business | $99 / month | up to $15,000 in affiliate sales, 3 sites |
| Enterprise | from $149 / month | above that, on quote |
| Meritt | ||
| Starter | $0 / month | until your first commission |
| Pro | $49 / month | no cap on sales, clicks or affiliates |
| Business | $99 / month | that is the ceiling, there is nothing above it |
Prices checked on September 8, 2026 on each vendor's own site. They change without notice: check them before you decide.
Read the third column of the first row carefully: those are not cumulative conditions, they are four independent ceilings. The first one to overflow moves you up a plan, and one is enough.
An affiliate who never sells still counts
The 1,000-affiliate ceiling is the most treacherous of the four, because it does not measure your activity. An open affiliate program accumulates sign-ups: people who joined during a launch, took their link, and never published it. In a normal program half the affiliates never produce a single sale, and much of the rest produce one or two.
So you can end up with 1,200 sign-ups of whom 40 actually work, and change plan because of the other 1,160. The remedy is to prune your affiliate list to stay under a threshold — administrative work created by a pricing model rather than by your program.
- The number of affiliates — 1,000 on the entry plan, selling or not. Meritt counts none.
- The number of campaigns — three. One campaign per product, or one private campaign for a partner, and you are there.
- The number of sites — two, then three. A second brand fits in a workspace here, with no counter.
- Affiliate revenue — $5,000 a month, the lowest threshold of the five platforms compared here.
What FirstPromoter does better
FirstPromoter is a mature, wide platform. Multi-level sub-affiliation, fraud detection, commission rules per product and per tier, private campaigns, the sheer number of SaaS integrations already written: all of it exists, works, and represents years of effort. If your program needs complicated commission rules today, they have more of them than we do.
That is in fact the only complaint on this page. We are not claiming FirstPromoter is badly built — it gets expensive as you grow, which is a different matter.
Moving from FirstPromoter to Meritt
The automatic import from FirstPromoter is not live yet: one platform imports file-to-file today. FirstPromoter is listed in the product as coming, with a button to flag that it is yours. That list is what decides the order we write them in.
What the import guarantees once it is in place: your affiliates keep their original code. That is what lets a link pasted two years ago into a video description keep crediting the right person — you cannot ask your affiliates to republish everything, and a program that loses its link history loses its best affiliates the month after.
The starter plan is free until your first commission, so you can install tracking on your own domain and check that it survives ad blockers before touching anything at FirstPromoter.
