AffiliateWP lives inside your WordPress: your data stays on your server, and WooCommerce is at home there. Its limit is the same as its strength: it only works there.
AffiliateWP is a WordPress plugin: the program lives in your site, on your server, with WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads and course and membership plugins. It needs self-hosted WordPress.

A licence, and a single ecosystem
The price is low and predictable. The constraint lies elsewhere: a site not on WordPress, a sale collected through Stripe outside WooCommerce, a Shopify store, and the plugin sees nothing. Meritt reads Stripe, Shopify and PayPal directly, and its tracking installs on WordPress as on 28 other platforms.
